The Flying Soft Toy Game

We learnt the Flying Soft Toy Game from an amazing Israeli woman who we became good friends with at the World Peace Forum in Vancouver, Canada.

REASONS FOR PLAYING:

Fun; enhancing concentration and hand /eye co-ordination skills.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

About six small soft toys.

HOW TO PLAY:

Everyone stands in a circle. The game begins with one person calling out the name of someone across the circle and then throwing a soft toy for them to catch. The second person catches the toy and shouts the name of someone else in the circle and throws the toy to them. The game continues in this way until everyone has caught the toy once and then the last person throws the toy back to the person who started the game (everybody should only get one turn).

The whole thing is then repeated a second time around with each person throwing the toy to the same person that they threw it to in the first round. This continues over and over again. At some point the game leader introduces a second toy so that there are now two toys following an identical path around the circle. After a short while a third toy is introduced and so on until all the toys are in circulation.

NOTES:

This game is a great 'ice-breaker' - it loosens everyone up.

The game provides a great 'break in proceedings' if things get a bit too serious and you want to lighten the mood within a group.
